End of Solipsism..for now

I'll explain what this is when I have more time...

Project No.3 - Solipsism

This Antony Gormley inspired exercise has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me at college. I set out to do 100 but only had time for 50 but by the end i was on a mental high.

I used: 100 various papers cut to similar sizes, black ink, candles, water, paint brush, wash brush, stick and a biro(which turned out to be surprisingly useful)

Other factors: spent most of the day on my own, listened to mozart and bjork (plus hurled a twirl)

What a day! The next 50 will be mazes to form the second aspect of the project.

'Bring Your Own' Warehouse : Project No.2

So you start with an empty warehouse and you have a number of 'Bring Your Own' parties. 

For instance - The 'Bring Your Own' Chair party; so everyone brings a chair and leaves it, then a table, then maybe some cider?  The idea being that after a number of parties you will have an awesome eclectic warehouse full of random furniture. 

'BYO' Parties: Wallpaper, Persian Rug, Chair, Table, Fireplace, Light, Book, Slide, Rainbow, Frame, Famous Person, Pumpkin? (the list really is endless)

Once upon a time i painted with colour..most of these paintings have been destroyed..this one was a birthday pressie for lil bro..

End of year...

The exhibition is done and packed away and another year has ended :(

 I like confusing the hell out of people...

One month and some days until the end of year exhibition_Some ideas...

What title would one put on ones exhibition?
Possibly 'Illustration'. So simple but the only fathomable title I can come up with considering the dramatic change of concept.

My work has moved on from literal characters and story telling. Watch this space to see what's to come of my radical concept change... it may surprise you!

Finally got round to animating the octopus...

A very scary hairy day....

I begun by sewing each hair individually....

After completing two layers I was fed up...

For the next billion layers I created one layer of knotted wool sewn on to the head...

The back of the head when complete, it turns out I could leave this area bald as his hair is massive as it is...

The hair reaches the full length of the body and I am too scared to cut it cos It looks so funky so I have tied it back instead...

I think I spent way too much time on the head!

I hate sewing... Took me ages to make the trousers! the rest are just temporarily placed bits of fabric...
