the exhibition was a blast, i don't have a clue how i managed to pull it off but i did! i did it! i did it! i did it!

and i sold some drawings too :-)

yes its that time of year again and the last time ever that i will be having a college exhibition...so 'going out with a bang' is the mind-set. 

Easier said than done...but all very exciting...

New Project: i have 50-100 wine soaked pages to fill in just two weeks.

I may start a new blog solely to keep track of this project. I just need to think of a title first...

Stains and what nots...

Project No. (lost count): Cabinet of Curiosities: Stuck on stains; i'm intrigued by the concept of illustration without drawing but I find it very hard not to draw. Red wine and coffee make for the best stain makers... so Im inspired by all these bleeding tones and I want to be doing some kind of auto drawing in response but as soon as I pick up a pen I want to draw really intricate-like-i-always-do drawings.

The last two images were just random end of day 'comfort zone' drawings.

Solipsism Project: At the time I considered this project unresolved, although it has been the most worked on concept so far.
Looking back through the photos made me realise that the process was visually more appealing than the drawings themselves. I made about 150 drawings for this project and this photo of printed acetate on a projector -set up for a very unsuccessful larger piece- is by far the most successful outcome.

Project No.3 - Solipsism

This Antony Gormley inspired exercise has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me at college. I set out to do 100 but only had time for 50 but by the end i was on a mental high.

I used: 100 various papers cut to similar sizes, black ink, candles, water, paint brush, wash brush, stick and a biro(which turned out to be surprisingly useful)

Other factors: spent most of the day on my own, listened to mozart and bjork (plus hurled a twirl)

What a day! The next 50 will be mazes to form the second aspect of the project.

'Bring Your Own' Warehouse : Project No.2

So you start with an empty warehouse and you have a number of 'Bring Your Own' parties. 

For instance - The 'Bring Your Own' Chair party; so everyone brings a chair and leaves it, then a table, then maybe some cider?  The idea being that after a number of parties you will have an awesome eclectic warehouse full of random furniture. 

'BYO' Parties: Wallpaper, Persian Rug, Chair, Table, Fireplace, Light, Book, Slide, Rainbow, Frame, Famous Person, Pumpkin? (the list really is endless)
