EXPÉRIMENTER EN COULEUR

i have an irritating 'can't do' attitude to colour,

so now i'm just 'gonna do' and live with it,

until i find my own happy place with it.

so to begin; three stages of colouring

MORE CIRCUS..

2014 is on its way. My New Years Resolutions are much the same as any year:

draw more

finish more projects

write that book

NEW PROJECT

The brainstorm goes something like this: Circus, Paris, Animals

The execution is perplexing, many blank pages, and many unjuxtaposed images, fighting with colour (it never ends) and literally having dreams of unfinished art taking the form of empty vessels. I looked this up, something which I never do but I thought it might spark something and I was surprised by the answer 'to dream that a container is empty represents optimism.' I took this to mean that I am over thinking it; letting that perfectionist in me get the better of me. So I bought Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon; read it and then stopped procrastinating and threw this together. Its out there now, I can't take it back...

happy holidays!

Christmas cards already!

I've never been so organised for Christmas!

5 sold already! you cant really see it in this picture but the cards are a beige colour giving them a vintage look.. they are quite beautiful.

I am also working on a card game to sell at Christmas or hopefully before; played the mock up version today and it's loads of fun. Cannot wait to see the finished product.
